PADI Advanced Open Water Course
In your Open Water Course you learned the basic skills to become a SCUBA diver. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Program builds upon the skills you learned in your Open Water Course and allows you to increase your comfort and enjoyment levels under the guidance of a PADI professional. This course is ideal for divers who just completed their Open Water Course or divers who want to further their SCUBA education. This course consists of one classroom session and 5 dives.
The first dive day consists of two shore dives - Peak Performance Buoyancy and Underwater Navigation. During the Peak Performance Buoyancy dive, students will have the opportunity to achieve proper weighting, improve their proper buoyancy skills underwater, develop good breathing skills, and improve their overall comfort level in the water. On dive two, students will learn both natural and compass navigation. On day two, dives three and four will be conducted from a boat. Students will have the opportunity to experience Deep diving between 60 and 80 feet and the last dive of the day will be Underwater Naturalist. On day three, the Advanced Open Water course will conclude with a Night dive from the shore.
